We all have dreams, aspirations, and goals we want to achieve. Whether it's advancing in our careers, improving our health and fitness, growing in our faith, or nurturing our relationships, there are always areas where we seek progress. But as many of us know, reaching these milestones requires discipline, perseverance, and the willingness to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. Everyday, we have the opportunity to "GET IN THERE." and stay disciplined to bettering ourselves to take concrete steps toward accomplishing our goals.
**Set Clear, Achievable Goals**
The first step in staying disciplined and making progress is setting clear, achievable goals. Be specific about what you want to accomplish and set deadlines for each goal. When you break your goals down into smaller, manageable tasks, you create a roadmap that makes your journey more manageable and less overwhelming. The process of building this business was overwhelming at times, but setting small goals for myself with deadlines made it much more manageable. Take baby steps because Rome was not built in a day.
**Develop a Daily Routine**
A well-structured daily routine can keep you on track and focused on your goals. By dedicating time each day to work on your aspirations, you’re creating a habit that builds discipline and consistency. Whether it's dedicating time for exercise, learning, or working on personal projects, a routine can help you stay on course. I have gotten into the routine of going to the gym at 6am during the weekdays and it has been great for me. It sets the tone for my whole day and keeps me productive.
**Eliminate Distractions**
Distractions can derail your progress and make it difficult to maintain focus. Identify the sources of distraction in your life and take steps to minimize them. This might involve turning off notifications, setting boundaries on your time, or finding a quiet space to work. By eliminating distractions, you can concentrate better and stay disciplined. It can be easy for me to go down a rabbit hole on Tik Tok or YouTube, but I try and limit my social media intake in order for me to put my focus into the core areas of my life that matter.
**Track Your Progress**
Monitoring your progress is essential for staying disciplined and motivated. Keep a journal or use a digital tool to track your accomplishments and milestones. Seeing your progress can boost your confidence and remind you that you’re on the right path. Throughout the process of creating this product and building this business, I have taken plenty of pictures and have journaled in my notes app. It's amazing to look back on the day I initially had this idea to the day I tried my first Booty Sud.
**Celebrate Small Wins**
It's important to acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they may seem. Celebrating small wins not only boosts your morale but also reinforces positive habits and discipline. Take time to reward yourself for each milestone you achieve. I am naturally very hard on myself, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. Tell yourself that you are proud of yourself every once in awhile. It's important to celebrate the small wins and have a little fun along the way.
**Stay Accountable**
Accountability can be a powerful motivator. Share your goals with someone you trust—a friend, mentor, or family member—and ask them to check in on your progress regularly. Knowing that someone is holding you accountable can help you stay disciplined and committed. My family has been incredibly supportive of me throughout this whole process. I keep them updated every step of the way. Having a support system that keeps you in check is essential.
**Stay Flexible and Adaptable**
While discipline is essential, so is flexibility. Life is unpredictable, and there will be times when you need to adjust your plans or pivot in a new direction. Embrace change and adapt your strategies as needed to stay on course. There were many times when I thought this company would never see the light of day. Everyday brought a new challenge. God's plan is much different than the one I had in mind, but trusting him and utilizing the gifts he has given me have allowed me to tackle the challenges that life throws. Remember, an object in motion stays in motion.
**Practice Self-Compassion**
Finally, remember to be kind to yourself. No one is perfect, and setbacks are a natural part of any journey. Practice self-compassion and understand that failure is an opportunity to learn and grow. Use setbacks as fuel to keep pushing forward. I have failed more times than I can count, but I always get back up and come out of it better than I was. Words of wisdom from Alfred from The Dark Knight: "Why do we fall sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up." Love yourself.
"GET IN THERE." is about taking charge of your life and actively working towards your goals every day. By setting clear goals, developing a routine, and staying disciplined, you can make steady progress and achieve the success you desire. Remember, it’s not about achieving perfection overnight; it's about consistently taking steps forward and celebrating each small win along the way. Using a Booty Suds bar is a great place to start. So, "GET IN THERE.", keep focused, and stay the course.
Yours truly,
Mitch
